High Key Portrait

1. Open your image (you might want to remove shadows on the background using the Dodge Tool )

2. Modify the curves to lighten the image.

You can replace this step by modifying the Brightness/Contrast (Bright=50/Cont=40)

3. Make a Duplicate of this image.

4. Use Threshold on the Duplicate Layer.

5. Blur the image.

6 . Change the Layer Mode to Screen.

7. Lower the Layer Opacity to taste.

8. You can also transform the underlayer to Black & White.
